Casual SICK game: Torture Chamber 2

Well, the objective of this game is very simple, torture your victim to his DEATH! HA!. You are accessed to a range of weapons ,most of them are guns, there is a chainsaw, razor ( This one is cool, you get to skin your victim alive)

This game can only engaged you for a short time given the limited items, i am sure if there are more items, it will be great.

This game is not for kids, its very violent, lots of gore and if you have some bad feelings kept down there, this is the game for you.

Casual Game: Heli Attack 3

Just remembered this great 2D scroller shooter game. In Heli Attack, you play as a little soldier armed with a pistol and with grenades and you are suppose to progress through the levels by killing a certain number of helicopters which comes in various sizes. Some of the bigger helis need more firepower before coming down.

There are a lot of weapons in the game, i think this is what attracted me, like rail guns, rocket launcher, grenade launcher, tasers and many more.

Throughout the levels, there are secret areas which you can find to unlock more powerful weapons, like the Black Hole which is the highest damage weapon in the game except that its reload is freaking long.

Casual Game: Indestructo Tank

Today, i just played a good game to kill some time. IndestructoTank-AE, this is their latest version with improve graphics and music but the game mechanics still remain the same as the older version.

Notice that i did not blog the past 2 days? Yeah been a little busy and i only try to put interesting and fun games on this blog, so if you find any games that you don't like you can email me and tell me.

All right, IndestructoTank, you play as an indestructable tank basically and you run across the field and there will be helicopters attacking you. You control the tank with up, down, left and right and when the heli drop a bomb, try to get hit and then you will be flying. Once that happens, try to knock into the helicopters and explode them, one explosion will sent you flying again and then hopefully there are other heli around so you can get a chain reaction or combo. Getting a combo will let you proceed to the next level faster and give you more points.

Your points will be use to sumon more helicopters and there are quite a variety of them so a good combination is important if you want a high score. In each level there is also fuel consumption, if your fuel runs out before the level ends, game over.

Great game to kill some time, interesting concept.

1998/2001: Dragon Warrior Monsters 1/2

All right another old game. Dragon Warrior Monsters by Enix before they merge with Squaresoft.

Dragon Warrior Monsters 1 and 2 have rather similar system so i will merge them together as one review.

In DWM, you play as a monster trainer where you will capture, breed and level monsters to fight other monsters. There are around 280 monsters all together, 10 families, Beast, Bug, Plants, Undead, Birds, Dragons, Material, Water( only in DWM2), Devil and Boss. This old game is rather similar with the popular Pokemon except that you dont use pokeballs here.

Throughout the game, you control a monster trainer that can hold up to 3 monster in a team at once. During your travel across worlds/gates, you will fight monster from 1-3 of them at one time. To capture a monster, you use meat to tame it, with Badmeat being the weakest and Sirloin the best.

To breed your monster, you need to train them to at least level 10 and you need a male and female monsters, after that its all about the recipe and patience to get the ultimate monster you want.

What i really like about this game is the anticipation of what monster am i getting if i breed this and that. I am really excited everytime. I think this is the real joy of this game, collecting every single monster, the sense of achievement this game give the player and of course, the huge variety of monster designs.

If you love pokemon i am sure you will love this game as well.

RagDoll Cannon

I justed play a rather cute game maybe sadistic to kill some time.

Its call Ragdoll Cannon.
In the game, you control a cannon and try to shoot stickman into a designated area. In the later levels that are some little puzzles which you have to solve to get across. The level design is unique and balance so everything can be solve. The physics is rather accurate with the how each things swings and moves. Need to kill some time, try the game out.

1997 Playstation: Herc's Adventure

A great game by Lucas Art, Hercules Adventure on playstation.\

The story of this game is basically about the Greek Gods with Hades being the baddie. Hades has captured Persephone the goddess of nature and decide to rule the world. So Zeus summon three heroes, Atlanta, Jason and Hercules.

As the game start you get to pick from three characters, Atlanta, Jason and Hercules, by the way you can also play 2 person mode. Play in from a "god view", you control your hero and travel through Ancient Greece and try to get help from the other Gods. Using a variety of weapons like Spears, Tridents, Pepper Breath, Garbage, you battle all sorts of nasty creatures.

Other than fighting monsters there also Boss monsters which are legendary creatures from Greek Mythology like the Hydra, Medusa and Talos. As you explore the world, you will notice a lot of posters and billboards advertising the monsters. I have no idea Ancient Greece know how to make posters and billboards at that time.

Anyway, other than that, there are a lot of mini secret areas which you can explore as well which yield valuable items that will aid you in your journry.

One thing i do not like about this game is the Saving Game option. The save points are far apart and you might just die travelling to one and you need to pay money to save your game.

Speaking of death in the game. When you die, you will travel to the underworld. In there you have to fight your way out into the living world again. If you die another time, you will be drop to underworld level 2 and so on and so forth. You can only die maximum of 6 times.

I love this game, its just simply adorable. The cartoony humours and random stuff just make this game irresistable. There are aliens, robots, refrigirators and a photo taking machine, not to mention how distort looking the Gods are. Hera, the queen of Gods is a fat. snobbish lady in this game compared to the description of her in the mythology and this goes for Athena and Dionysis as well.

All right, i will end, try to get the game, you will not regret it.

1996 Sega Saturn Game: Dragon Force

I have been trying out some old games lately, some from gameboys, sega saturn and playstation. I find that a lot of them are really fun and can be used to generate new ideas for our new gaming era

Today i am going to talk about Dragon Force, an old strategy game based on Sega Saturn console.

At the start of the game, you get to choose from 8 factions/country. After that some god will appear and tell you that you need to unite the Dragon Force Warriors which are the other 7 countries by means of war.

The entire game world is piece of land called Legendra and there are little castles scattered all over the place. You start with a couple of this castle and a few officers that have armies of their own including your King. Each officer have at least 10 soldiers and 100 max.

The purpose of this game is to send out divisions made up of at least 1 officer and 5 max to dominate every little castle on the map.

The best thing about this game is the battle, woot.

When you engage an enemy officer you will be bring to a screen that look like this.

In the battlefield, to win you need to defeat the opposing general by killing him or making him retreat using your army or by casting spells with your General.

After that, you can choose different formations/command to mobilise your troop. The formation and commands are very important here as well as when to use them as it can mean losing your entire force or winning an entire army of 100 men with just 30 men. There are various formation like Offense which command 70% of your army to charge and 30% to protect your General. There is also Disperse command where your army will scatter to the top and bottom screen mainly to avoid archers and mages and incoming spells. There are other formations and commands, if you want to know more get the game or go GameFaqs.

Also in the game, there are other components which you need to consider as they help in battles. Some units are good against other units, for example, Cavalry are good against Soldiers, Soldiers are good against Beast. Knowing what unit is weak against which unit can turn a battle to your favour.

Other than searching for castle to battle, you can recruit new generals by capturing enemy general or search for them during your domestic affair meeting. The domestic affair meeting will occur after the sandclock on the top of your screen ends everytime. In this meeting, you can award your generals medals which can boost their morale and their army size, fortify your castles and negotiate with prisoners.

Fun Factor:

The battle system is unique and balanced allowing even a small force to take down a huge force.

There is no super unit in the game, forcing the player to acquire every type so to use in the approriate moment.

Casual Gaming

If you are reading my blog, most probably you are a gamer, but here's the question, are you a hardcore gamer or a casual gamer?

The difference between a hardcore gamer and a casual gamer in my opinion is the amount of time spent on the games. Most hardcore gamers are players who play Multiplayer online games, owns PS3 and Xbox360.

A casual gamer plays games that does not take up too much time, like browser games, flash games and facebooks. Some of them also owns PSP , Ninento Wii and Nintendo DS and you can see them playing their consoles on public transports. Basically, this gang of people play games to kill time and have some quick fun. I happen to fall under this catergory.

Epsilon ( VERY RECOMMENDED GAME)

Today, i am going to talk about another awesome game called Epsilon. It is a puzzle game that uses very cool mechanics and special effects. A must try.

Even though at the later stages the levels might get a little tricky as it require very fast hand movements, nonetheless this game made my day. Pure awesomeness.

Arcane the Armour Collector

Well, today i played a pretty neat game by Rusty Arcades . This game is pretty much like Unreal Tournament Flash Game except that this game uses swords.

Basically, this is a 2D scrolling action/ fighting game. You are a gladiator, you can buy armours and choose from a variety of weapons. After that, you choose a level and start fighting other gladiators in that level.

The cool part is the the combat system. Unlike any other fighting game, you do not have to press any keys to raise your shield or to "Block" your enemy attack. Your Shield is always up and you just have to move the shield with your mouse to block your enemy attacks. So the only thing you need to worry about is just to chop you enemies to pieces.
